Learn A Bit About Us

 Liquid Travel provides wine related experiences. We’re passionate about wine and everything wine related. With a wide variety of signature experiences catering to all budgets, we’re the perfect option for your upcoming event, party,excursion or one of our wine tastings.

We are Jennifer Murray and Martin Verhoeks and we have a combined experience of 40 years in the wine business. Jennifer owns a business importing wine and spent 20 years traveling the World looking for interesting wines and tasting at wineries, International professional events and during studies with the International Sommeliers Guild and WSET( Wine and Spirits Education Trust).

Both have appeared in wine related print, on television, have been judges at wine and food events and keep on educating themselves at events reserved for the trade,wine shows and  by liaising with wineries.

We are able to accommodate you in several languages: English,Spanish,Dutch,German,Swiss German and French

JENNIFER MURRAY-VERHOEKS

JEJennifer organises many events and larger scale wine tasting for customers and wineries. She has participated in many wine shows to introduce customers to new wines. She trained with the International Sommeliers Guild and with WSET. She spends her time between France and Canada.

MARTIN VERHOEKS

​

Martin grew up in the vineyards of Switzerland and became interested in wine at a young age. He moved to Canada where he met Jennifer.He helps her searching for new wines and also trained at the International Sommeliers Guild and achieved the highest level at WSET - DipWSET ( WSET Diploma).

He has provided wine tastings for groups and individuals and has assisted Jennifer during wine shows and accompanies her on wine related travel.

What we offer 
 

  • Maybe you would like to learn about the basics of wine tasting?

  • Or you want to know more about  the wines of this area through a personalized wine tasting experience?

  • Possibly you own a restaurant and would like help with the design of your wine list and match it to your menu?

  • Are you organising a wedding or other event and would like help with selecting the right wines or offer wine tastings to the guests?

  • Would you like to go on a wine tour of wineries in the region for a day or half a day?

  • What about an Internationally recognized wine course as in Level 1/2 and 3 WSET ? (we can only offer these with a certain minimum of attendants)

  • Do you have an other wine related idea? Please get in touch and we can design a bespoke tasting or tour.

NUMBERS:
  • For our in- house tastings and for the tours we would require a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 8
  • The WSET courses require a minimum of 10 participants ( contact us for more info)

Where we offer our Courses and Tastings

  • We offer our tastings in our private home - a converted train station. Professional Riedel stemware,Oenosablier Spittoons and Tapas using local ingredients will be provided for the tastings along with a sparkling welcome drink.

  • Tours are in a 9 seat minibus. Advance notice required - please contact us.

  • Off premise services: consulting on wine choices and wine lists.

  • WSET courses usually require planning ahead and will be held off site in a location with the necessary infrastructure.
